Description
Zeutschel OS-C Series Large-Format Overhead Scanners
The Zeutschel OS-C Series represents a new standard in high-quality, efficient digitization for demanding large-format scanning projects. Designed for materials up to A2 and A1, the OS-C Series builds on Zeutschel’s proven overhead scanning technology while delivering exceptional image quality, productivity, reliability, and ease of operation.
Ideal for libraries, archives, museums, government agencies, universities, and other organizations, the OS-C Series provides a professional solution for digitizing books, documents, maps, drawings, and other valuable large-format materials.
Key Features
Exceptional Image Quality
The Zeutschel OS-C Series delivers consistently high-quality images designed to meet demanding digitization standards, including Metamorfoze Light, ISO 19264 Level B, and FADGI requirements.
The OS C2 models use advanced LED illumination and a precisely controlled scan-head drive to produce sharp, consistent scans while maintaining accurate color reproduction and detail.
Automated Quality Control
Integrated quality assurance features help operators maintain consistent scanning results throughout large digitization projects.
The OS QM Tool, combined with OmniScan 12 software, provides automated image-quality checks based on ISO 19264-1 and other applicable guidelines, including Metamorfoze and FADGI. An object-level target can be positioned alongside the original material to help verify image quality during production.
Fast and Efficient Scanning
Optimized hardware and software help increase productivity without sacrificing image quality. Improvements to the scanning system, book cradles, holders, and glass plates help streamline the digitization workflow and reduce the time required to complete large projects.
With automatic scanning functionality and efficient image processing, operators can move quickly from one original to the next.
Easy, Ergonomic Operation
The OmniScan 12 software provides an intuitive workflow that guides operators from image capture through final output.
The scanner’s specialized lighting is activated only when scanning, reducing unnecessary exposure to light and creating a more comfortable working environment.
Depending on the model, advanced book-cradle systems provide adjustable opening angles, electrically controlled book plates, controlled contact pressure, and automatic glass-plate opening after scanning.
Durable and Sustainable Design
Quality and sustainability are central to the OS-C Series design. The scanner and book cradles are constructed primarily from recyclable metals rather than plastic, providing a durable solution designed for long-term professional use.
The Advanced models feature an electrically operated glass plate engineered for reliable operation and extended service life.
